Secret Identity: Gavin Wong

Appearance: Standing at six foot four, Gavin is the picture of health. His bald head is a lifestyle choice, in recognition of his time in the S.T.E.A.L.T.H. group. Most of the public however, wouldn't know, as he doesn't wear the typical grimness of special forces, instead beaming and smiling as he keeps himself surrounded by the world's future, his students.

Having served with an elite team of assassins, Gavin has seen enough questionable orders and bloodshed to last a lifetime. He's now taken it upon himself to do some good with his skills and training.

As a Physical Education teacher, and sports coach, Gavin sees his students as his primary responsibility. He doesn't miss a day of classes, unless the safety of his students is at risk.

- Secret (Questionable orders)
Gavin had taken part in a number of secret operations, which ended with unnecessary casualties. It is his hope that his association with the S.T.E.A.L.T.H. group is never discovered, and his role in the deaths of thousands never be revealed.


- Honor
Gavin has never backed away from an honorable challenge, and would never strike an unarmed opponent. This code of honor does not extend to those who have proven themselves without honor, and Gavin doesn't hesitate to use his training to overcome foes who leave themselves open.

Identity: Henry Mayfield

Appearance: Hank is tall and built like a farm hand. His skin is tanned from constant outdoor work, and his hands are rough and calloused. He appears to be in his middle to late 30's, but is actually 113 years old. He's ruggedly handsome with strong features. He wears work shirts, jeans, and sturdy working boots. His hair is short, and mousy brown, the same color as his eyes. Hank never got into the culture of costumes or nom de plumes. In situations where it's called for .. he simply goes by the name Mayfield.

Complications
Motivation: Social Justice - Hank suffered a traumatic event during the Korean war. The experience still haunts him and is the driving force behind his adherence to social justice. 

Anachronism: Hank's a bit old fashioned. He experienced the depression, and participated in three wars. He has a conservative and austere mindset in his personal life. To modern folk, he comes across as a technological luddite, and a staggering cheapskate.

Violence isn't the Answer!: Hank considers violence a last resort. If he can talk someone down without violence that's a win for him.

Honorable: Hank keeps his word, and never takes advantage of a situation.

History: Henry Mayfield was born in 1899 a mutant. None of his siblings had his gift, nor did his father or mother. He grew up in Idaho working a farm with the rest of his family, and using his gift. His power grew steadily over the years. During WW1, he lied about his age, and joined the army, participating in the war. He participated in WW2, and the Korean War. After the Korean war, Henry became soured to war in general and first began to think about Social Justice. He had little time for it, as he still had a farm to run and a family to see to. He and his wife had 5 children. None of them were long lived, but they were all half as powerful as Henry. His grandchildren showed no signs of his abilities, being perfectly normal. 

Henry's wife passes away in '75 of old age in her sleep. He works the farm for another 5 years, until one day he resolves to leave the farm and go traveling. He leaves the farm in the care of his extended family, walks off the farm and travels the US for 30 years. During this time he's doing the incredible hulk TV series thing. Hank travels around doing odd jobs, trying to help as much as he can, making himself scarce before anyone takes a long notice of him, and generally trying to stay out of history's way. 

The last 2 years of his life are a blank. Hank remembers waking up in a field in upstate new york, with no memory of the last two years. He's not sure what happened but he's having disturbing dreams about it from time to time. Though nothing makes sense. He arrives in Emerald City on a hunch.. from a dream he'd had days before. Hopefully Emerald City will offer up the answers to the lost time that Hank seeks.
